I've done all of them with jack stands. Pan drop is pretty straight-forward. Just prepare for the flood of ATF with lots of newspapers, pans, etc. Actually your A/T pan may have a drain plug which makes the job easier since you can drain before removal.
Then unbolt, take the filter off, replace o-ring, wipe out pan, and then re-assemble. The pan gasket comes with new screws coated with an anti-leak thread compound.
As a side note, I bought a new pan for "Q2" with the drain bolt since the existing pan didn't have one... cost less than $30 from Joe and now I can do partial fluid exchanges when I change my oil!
The transmission mount can be done with a floor jack. Just make sure to use a large block of wood so that the jack cup doesn't dent/crush the pan. I think I used a peice of 2x4 in the cup and then an old peice of shelving to dissapate the pressure. Once the transmision is supported you'll remove the front exhaust hangers and that crossmember that holds up the mount, and you've got it. It's a great time to replace all of the exhaust hangers at the same time.
I try to do my pan drop just after a chemical flush, since the process can loosen debris and clog the filter.
