Finally replacing the ol' worn out shifter console.

Difficulty: 1/10

What you will need:

HandVicegripphilips head

1) Start out by pulling the console out, and removing the shifter.(zer...tknob )

careful not to pull away and disconnect the white ribbon wire.yet.

2) Behind the console find where the wire attaches to and disconnect it.

There is now only screw to remove in order to take out the A/C controls.

There are four clips holding it in place. Careful when removing to not damage the switch controller.

3) Get the new console and fasten the a/c controls back in place. Fasten it once more with the screw from before. (optional, it seems stable enough to use without a screw. but whatever.)

-Plug in the ribbon and place the console over the shifter's stem.

-Put shiftknob back on.

-Snap console in place, voila'

OLD:hooray, no more dumb silver trim. At least on that part.
