This should make a -10an or 5/8" return line like the one in the DIY oil line sticky. These parts are from http://www.mcmaster.com

Hose: just like the feed line but 5/8" ID and 3/4" fixed male threads on both ends. I don't know what length is needed.

#5723K181

Fitting: 90 degree female to male swivle elbow. Just like the one used for the feed line but 3/4" threads. This sucker is 2" long so it should give good clearance to the oil pan.

#5340K37

3/4" seems like awfully big thread to have to work with but if you want 5/8 ID that's what you get. Is this typical of return lines?

Anyway, that's what I came up with so far. I think I have picked the right stuff but I have not ordered these so buyer beware.

Second opinions and additional input are welcome. Perhaps If this bears out it would be good to add to the oil line sticky.

Hate to bump my own thread but has anyone looked at these?

Seems like 3/4" threads are too big though. Perhaps a size smaller is in order.

Looks great, and I assume they are steel, so they could be welded to the pan, but what do you do with the turbo for a drain flange or tapping the turbo? When that is worked out this will become worthy of the 'Master Sticky File' !

EDIT: Found another issue, unless you see something I do not. The ID is not the same on any of the swivel pieces. Wouldn't be a problem, but it just leads back to the question of how to attach it to the turbo. Unless you are thinking about welding up your own flange.

I've seen flanges with 1/2" threads but they are aluminium. This is why I express reservation about the 3/4" thread.

I might make my own. I'm thinking of just a cut, drill & thread deal. Or, I might just go to my local Garrett dealer.

The more I research, the more it's looking like it will be more practical in the long run just to buy a kit with the aluminum flanges included.

I haven't heard of them breaking so...

No they would be plenty strong. Garrett sells a kit?

I'm sure they sell a flange. But I'm really starting to think that it might be more practical to just shell out the $80 for a JGS kit.

Seriously, by the time all the material are sorced and what not I'm not seeing much of a savings.

JGS uses SS fittings and his kit comes with the appropriate flanges, a weld on bung piece and all the right stuff.

I have a pontoon boat to re-deck in a couple of months, I've gotta get some noise out of this ***** and be done with it.

Yeah, I think you are probably right.
