Has anyone made their own drain line? Any recomendations on sizes for stuff? I was thinking that it would be cool to have a McMaster Carr parts list for the drain too, so members could make their entire oil system for cheap.

Earl fittings not cheap but won`t leak or give you problems. -10AN is recommended size for a T3/T4 oil drain.

Part numbers for using Steel braided hose -10AN809110 Swivel-Seal 90 deg. Tube Hose End -10AN800110 Swivel-Seal Straight Hose End -10AN981610 Straight, Pipe Thread To A.N. Adapter 1/2 to -10AN967110 Steel Weld Fitting -10AN

Auto-Flex Hose (Use Swivel Seal, Auto-Fit or Auto-Mate Hose Ends) You will need little over 1ft. I used Steel braided

Then there is an Oil Drain Flange Kit that you will need. It is specific to the turbo you choose. All this stuff can be found at anplumbing.com except for the turbo drain adapter. A lot of places sell Earls fittings but this site is easy to use.

I made my own drain line also.

I bought 2ft of 5/8 silicone hose from atpturbo.com along with the outlet flange.I work at an autoparts store so I went to the help section and bought a heater hose fitting. It's 1/2npt with a 5/8 barbed end.I had a OEM turbo oil drain tube with barbed end from an old dodge daytona so I trimmed the flanged a little and welded it on my oil pan.the rest was cake.Hasn't leaked one drop since day one...

Ok, I am going to buy the earl fittings, already have a long 10 an line I will cut.

2 Questions:

1) How should I cut the line so it doesn't serrate & stuff? I was thinking putting masking/painter's tape accross the area to be cut & saw it. Then unwrap the tape & proceed w/ whatnot.

2) What is the procedure to put the ear fitting onto the open end of the hose?

THANKS!

Hey How did you make the hole for that flange you welded onto the oil pan?? Do you think a punch would work the best?...I know drilling could put small metal shavings in it... which one did u do?

take the pan off and drill it/tap it.or if you wanna keep it in the car and do it.... you'll be making it a bit harder.. since im sure you cant get a good angle nor good position.

yea, so is it hard to take it off with that crossmember there? I know the SR has two separate oil pans.
