As you know, they are specifically design for the Rogue and I am really happy with its water holding properties. Especially in Canada, snow and salt ruins the carpet of your car. However, recently I noticed that the driver side mat is worn. The heel of my right foot started to eat the rubber and as you can see, it is so worn that the supporting grid behind the mat became visible:

If I leave the mat like this, my heal will eventually punch a hole on the rubber mat...and it will be too late. At that time, I have three options:
a. repair it with a patch (which will look ugly - and the water will find its way down to the carpet no matter how well I patched it)
b.purchase a new set of OEM mat (the passenger side and two rear ones are perfectly fine, so for only driver side, I don't want to spend money)
c. buy another generic or custom mat (the Rogue mat is beautiful).
So here is my solution:
1. I went to a local auto parts store (actually that store is like a candy/toy store for people like me) and purchase a foot of rubber roll mat. (http://www.princessauto.com/pal/product ... r-Roll-Mat)
2. Trace the heel area on a piece of paper:

3. Cut the rubber in this shape and by using rubber cement (center, large surfaces) and crazy glue (corners and edges) I glue it to the mat. Here is the result:

I am against modifying or "pimping" the car. So I really loved the OEM look of the mat. Actually, that mat should be produced with a reinforcement on that area.
Anyway, just wanted to share in case you live in a cold climate and want to protect your floor mat before it is too late.
