I'm talking about the cubby lid above the radio.

You still haven't said what you want to DIY.

Do you want to add gauges behind the panel, a TomTom/Garmin GPS, a DVD player, a remote installed radar detector/laser jammer? Or something else entirely?

Help us help you.

Hi guys, I was wondering you were referring to something like this pictured below?

The product is in development and is scheduled to arrive towards the end of September. Price will be between $90-$100.

Thanks

Hello there, we are not sure if this answers your question, but the cubby is fastened by approximately five screws. The leather covers is hinged on but can be removed. The picture shown is of a 370Z but unfortunately, not sure if it will slip right into the 350s.

Hopefully this help, tx

For the most part, all of our parts are mass produced. Sometimes, we are able to use what we have and customize them for use with other cars, but not so ofter.

What did you have in mind?

A piece that could serve as an ipod dock. There are two ideas that I had...one being to have a piece that would fit into where the cup hold slot is in the passenger side dash. a small opening that an ipod touch could fit into/slide into and connect to my radio via a connection in the back of the dock....the other involves making a spot in the center console....

I was just curious if you guys did anything that could hold an ipod and still look stock or were able to do something like this???

awe man, nice idea. Unfortuantely it would be difficult for us. In most cases would need to make abunch (hundres) of the to drive the price down.

What do you think about a AC vent item with a universal base plate, where we can mount ipods, GPS etc to the AC vent. sort of like the airfreshners and how they can be atttached and detached from the AC vent?

That sounds pretty cool. For me the idea was more like a hidden ipod thing. With the vent idea your ipod is still out in the open. with the other ideas ipods are more concealed plus you have the factor of people not noticing what you have at first and once they do wanting a stealthy, stock looking ipod of their own....

my cd player allows you to control the ipod while its plugged in so I wouldn't mind it being hidden away somewhere. Anyways it was just this idea that I had, and I'm sure there are a lot of 350z owners who would like to replace that useless cup holder as well with something like this, but that may just be my opinion. but I do understand the mass production thing. like I said it was just an idea. I like custom stuff like that.

on another note the way you guys set up the gauges in that 370 was pretty tight! you guys do some pretty cool stuff. ipod integration, gps integration, and even cell phone integration into a vehicle so that it would look stock would prolly open up a huge market

Thanks! Ideas are always welcome. Actually from time to time, we will do polls too. Its really your opinions that count and we will certainly look into the cup holder concept.
