What kind of double sided tape? If it's just the cheap craft-store crap then of course it won't stay on. Use some of the 3M strips that you should be able to get at most hardware stores. It's not overly expensive but it'll stick like mad! Also, make sure you clean the surface you'll be sticking the tape to. I always prep the surface with basic Windex spray and some paper towel.

Clean it. Dry it. Stick it. Done.

do you have to drill holes for the leds in the center cupholders? if so how do you yank out the cupholder?

sneaky, you have to take out the cupholders from the center console, from underneith, after you take the whole console out of the car. And yes you need to drill a hole in them.

I use hotglue to hold my led bars up... and i keep a stick int he glove box incase i ever need it to hold things, a lighter does it in a jiffy.

yea. i cleaned the surface i was sticking it to and i used the 3m double sided tape that came with the led strips. those didn't work though. i'm gonna hot glue it on tomorrow. but the lights look SICK!!!!!!!! i love this mod!!! it was most definitely worth the time and money!!

as for how to take apart the shifter for cvt, it's written on one of these threads here. but, basically, what you need to do is remove the little chrome piece under the rubber part of the shifter. you just pull that down. then you have to take out that little pin. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T LOSE IT! and then it comes right off. then just pull up on the thing surrounding the shifter. and voila.

I think I'm gonna order 4x blue LEDs and do the cupholders and the pockets in the the doors. Seems like a cheap mod that will hold off my feelings of wanting to do something to my car, since I still have to save up for TEIN S-TECH springs, hahaha.
