NOT ONLY do yuo have to have a bag big enoughbut you also have ot make sure there are NO creases, folds, parts that arent prefectly flat anywhere in the bag....quite annoying

You only have to minimize the folds, you can sand the excess resin down and reapply more resin so it self-levels. I know how hard CF is to work with, this is not my 1st piece, it is just my largest.

While you're at it do you want to check on a 180sx center dash HVAC/ radio/ gear stick bezel cover thing. (you know what I'm talking about?)

I'm notn sure I follow you. Are you talking aboit making a spoiler or a CF hatch?yokota180sx wrote:dude, im not understanding why you dont just lay FRP on it
seriously, take your hatch, prop it upcover it with tape, lay 3-5 layers of matt on it, and let it harden.trim/sand/paintrivet to the hatch
thats how i made my CF one, but i had the help of a guy that was good at CF.
That doesn't look like carbon. I might give the trunk overlay thing a shot though.yokota180sx wrote:just make a hatch overlay and rivet it to the hatch so it covers all your holes, thats all i did
that was mine out of carbon fiber
