ok guys trying to solve a 20 dollar problem here, I know you cheap bastrd neverlift go get a job and some money your *** hat well no its not a money thing at all, its more of a I like to make stuff thing....

parts needed: 1 male air hose fitting 1 female air hose fitting 1 random *** spring 1 random *** bearing(mine was found in the bearing in a blown *** shock mount for s13, but you can use whatever, this is actually too heavy IMO)

its a simple 2~5 minute job, step 1 take spring and cup it at one end so it "cups" the bearing. step 2 insert ball into male air fitting. step 3 insert spring cup end to ball step 4 put female fitting on. edit make sure it goes like this step 5 use a hand pump or air compressor to "test" the thing and make sure its close to where you were before. step 6 go and install part on wastegate line with boost source facing ball end(refer to pic above) step 7 go drive KEEPING EYES ON BOOST GAUGE,adjust till desired boost is reached.

it spikes one psi on my car right now, not bad for a 2 gram spring IMHO, its pretty heavy. With that said make sure your fueling is up to par and you HAVE A WIDEBAND O2 MONITORING DEVICE!!!!!!! luckily I have ganster 270cc with every fuel mod I could do at 59psi w/out vac(calc said they flwo 300ccish) pic on car for ref. Q&C welcome I know some will be like f*** you no but it works perfectly fine.Just ziptie or hose clamp it, IT WONT MOVE if the hose doesnt.

A friend of mine made something very similar to this for his Talon and it's been working safely for a good while. Nice post.

thanks man after nearly a hundred damn veiws I assumed nobody gave a ****.

anyways I think its only issue with spiking is cause the 2 gram bearing. Like I said this was mainly a "can I do it" thing. I can, I did. I'll be doing more work with it later on today to see how it does above half bar.

I'm in proccess of going blow thru, some reason or another I like rice, and need my bov open atmosphere(vta) and the only way to get a decent idle running it this way(other then recirc or b/t) is to adjust till it whistles, yes it sounds like I have a s/c while cruising and idle skerd off a couple already with it , BUT I feel like its not open enough to have good pressure relief. I'm not 100% sure but I hear some flutter, I want it gone, especially with me already uping boost.

well that thing kept blowing off the wastegate, so I made another with a smaller spring and bearing, actually just started dialing in the boost today, I'll post updates of how it goes, but the new one is just a male and female 1/4" brass npt form home depot the racer store with a bearing out of a quick disconnect, and a spring from a pen.

took it from 6ish to about 7.5 and this one has no spike to it like the big *** bearing did. And adjustments seam slower(more turns to make a difference) could be the small spring though. oh and stock injectors are pimp'n they have held 10psi 3 good pulls last night. Stays pegged at 11:1 afr and no audible knock non IC'd though. Crazy I know

well if you wanna get into details its a hybrid ka24de with de injectors and dizzy, the ecu and afm are from a stanza(sohc ka thats consult able) sohc . the bov is off a volvo recirc valve(being replaced today I fu(kin hope, if it shows up), along with a bunch of couplers and hose clamps also form a volvo. The turbo cost 50 bux great condition, the manifold drain adapter and oil feed fitting and 3" test pipe and down pipe cost 110 and came with a rebuildable turbo. The feed and drain lines are homemade as with the boost controller. you should love it the walbro/wire mod/62psi fuel pressure without vac gets it done rom tuned .

@10 psi I assume around 220. I know it would be closer to 230 if I wouldnt have turned my outlet upwards like suggested. It makes for ease of piep layout but IMHO killed performance on this non IC'd setup. Just added way to much heat to the charge. I honestly think with the fuelign setup and the extra 30 or so digits I can increase on my fuel map. I could even add a little with my k ... but right now without IC I 'm not gonna push my luck, MIGHT go 8 but I think 7.5 is enough till I toss on the sr smic today, probably gonna put the bov in the fender well. I like rice if yo have not figured, I like for people to be like "ugh slow arse 240" pppphhhhhssssssst! "ugh did you guys see that" lol stupid srt4 owner. anyways this whole boost controller thing has been around, its nothing special just cheap, and as I haev come to realize way too much "pride" is in a name. So I figured I'd go "against the grain" and try it, cost me a total of 3 dollars I think its worth it, just be smart and have afr monitor and go slow with it, I didnt resulting in my 10 pis pulls.

from ebay?

it should work my friends sr is up to like 17psi(gt28) with one.

habor freight would have been cheaper lol, the current one is a male and female 1/4" npt cost for both was like 3 bux.

got my smic on today since my g/d ac bracket didnt work. So tonight boost gets raised, taking boost reading from manifold so I wont go past ten psi(turbo at about 12 with drop and what not).

Not seeing much lag, I added one 90 and an 18" straight piece to keep distance down and still have the ic. I hope it drops temps by 50 or so degrees, but I wont hold my breath. Hell I hope the injectors can keep up with the temp drop. I know they held 10 psi but that was super hot air. go turbo piggy

damn florida is thick with kat's

its some stupid *** heat wrap stuff off an altima ac line..... cut it and put it around the bmc, then put a piece of actual heat wrap around the res, with a dizzy cover on top of that. project budget boostin. heat wrap is too pricey these days lol 50 bux for a roll to do a 4 banger is retarded. I will be hitting up summit for the cheap knock off **** soon and anything that looks at me c*** eyed get it. heay wrap that is.

ok guys the IC is on an leaking a bit, drop with just waste gate is 5 psi, with boost controler damn near closed still 5 psi I ****ing hate intercoolers, now, 2 dead in less then the time it took to put on.made a huge power diff though. 5psi is making what 7 was all day, just has some lag, I'm thinking is from the leak, be pressure testing it laters on.

adjust slowly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111a full turn with the **** I had went from 7psi(one over my wastegate setting) to 10.

edit

went adjusting after slap'n my eghey bov on and the apg was the culprit leaking my precious boost off. Now the outlet nozzle "gasket" is blown too lol good times dead tires.... anyways IC is fine ,I love it ziptied down and all , 7psi is plenty for me atm stock injectors held up to 9 psi(IC'd) till I backed off(tunes not for 9psi so I felt I should slow my roll till I pull the chip and reburn)

ps ka~t makes drifting

tyten up and try the ghetto mbc guys
