So I have not been here for awhile since I have the older generation Rogue and pretty much everything you can mod or do with it has aleady been discussed in here.

Anyways, I read in here that people go off-roading every once in awhile so I thought I make some home made fender flares.

I went to the local hardware store and bought some $6.95 garden trim and 3M tape from Advance Auto for around $12.

Trim, cut & paste. Took under 20 minutes. Fast, easy.

People might say it ruins the smooth lines of the Rogue but as you can see throughout the years, my goal is to make my suv look more off-road instead of the typical mommy grocery mobile.

As you can see I threw aerodynamics out the window long time ago. Plus it's old so I don't mind messing with its looks.

I still get great mileage on long trips plus gas is cheap compared to when I first got this rogue.

Anyways, if I get sick of this look, no problemo, I just remove this very low cost setup.

As for now I will keep it to make my Rogue unique as usual. As if it is not already now right? huh? LOL.

Even though before the flares, I always get compliments on how my Rogue looks. Sometimes people don't know what kind of car I drive.

Anyways, never had a problem. The only thing I changed at the dealership was the fan belt.

I did the oil, coolant, and filters. Same original brakes. Better stop before I jinx myself.

Anyways, hoping to inspire.

Enjoy the pics.

I think one day you are going to look at them and you will be like "OMG, what was I thinking?" LOL

Same goes for all your rally lights.

Actually the first time I ever thought of " What the HECK was I thinking!" was when I was bored and after completing these home-made fender flares the other day. :ohno: :inout:

But with a simple pull and reposition with new automotive 3M tape, I placed the fenders more closer to the body. Less Jeep like and more befitting my Rogue. Instead of 2 1/4" away it is not 1 1/4" away from the body. Much less prominent as before and it more looks like my old stick on 3M body molding I use to have before I removed them after an accident.

Since you mention the rally lights, I guess I accomplished my mission of achieving a somewhat off-road rally suv look. So I take that as a compliment.
To be honest the roof lights are actually one of my favorite things, after the bull and nerf bars.

But don't worry, everything on my vehicle can be removed since it's bolted on. It can still be the normal mundane rogue if I want it to be someday. But I will keep the spoiler I installed since that is part of the rogue style.

Even the cheap golf cart roof light bar is 3M attached. (came that way for $89 free shipping), so easily removable just like the cheap cargo basket.

Actually I got 99% of the stuff you see on eBay and every item you see is less then $100 EACH! :naughty:

Anyways, new pics of the fender flares. Not as drastic looking but makes me happy! :mike
