Reasons you would want to do it: A) You installed after market seats without the side airbag & you don't want the blinking red SRS light. B) You bought a Totaled car and you want to turn it into a Track Car without the SRS warning light.
*Warning* This is for offroad use only.. it is illegal to tamper with the Airbags in your car.
What you need:
Nismo sells a unit to disable the SRS light for $50. What the Nismo unit really is is a 1/2 Watt 2.2 OHM resistor in a pretty box.
So.. Here's The Poor Man Solution!
Buy a 2.2 OHM Resistor (not 2.2K) & Install
Radio Shack does not sell 2.2 OHM resistors in Individual packs. The only way to get it is to buy the $12.99 Radio Shack 500 CT Variety pack.
Or you may purchase it of the internet for a few bucks.
The color code is: Red Red Gold Gold
Installation: The plug for the seat airbags is located under the seats. it is yellow with two leads. You put one end of the resistor into one side and the other end into the other side then hold in in place with electrical tape.

Now to Reset the SRS Light:
1) Turn the key to the ACC ON position and wait 7 Seconds for the solid SRS light to blink off. Immediately turn the key to the off Position and wait 5 Seconds.
Rinse and Repeat three times.
Turn the the car to the ACC on position and wait for the light to go out and stay out!
