You're welcome! I bought all my parts in store as I was in a hurry to use it on a road trip. You found some really good deals. Let us know how it works out for you, and where you decide to put the components. I'm actually considering placing everything underneath the console, but I'm still uncertain because of the warnings on that metal box, and the possibility of noise when going over bumps and such. If someone has a better idea of where to put things, I'd love to see it!

That's where I shoved all of the parts after sealing them in plastic zip lock bags.

That's what I'm going to do. Put it in a project box and perhaps cover it with a soft insulator so it doesn't bang against that metal box.

Ok I sure will! I'm excited about it because that's the only thing I don't about the one the OP post you have to pair it when changing devices. You can only pair one device at a time.

I got this on Friday and worked perfectly. It sounds better than I expected but still, not the same as a direct connection. I wish that I was able to make it louder but it doesn't get as loud as I would like sometimes.

The trick here is to buy a bluetooth receiver that is USB powered which makes powering it in the car much easier.

The stuff I bought:

Although that metal box says to avoid striking it, everything is in there pretty tight so nothing will be hitting it.

^ Thanks for the update, TXT. I think I'm going to redo mine similarly soon. The bluetooth receiver that I bought is USB powered, so I just need to buy a shallow USB power supply (like yours) instead of the clunky old one that I have now.

It *is* too much to plug in both the aux AND power cable to my phone. removing any unnecessary god damn wires from the front is the goal.
