Disturbing or helping ewight distribution??

Helloo everyone!! I was wondering if people out there take out their spare tire (for extra trunk space?? hehe) how does this affect the overall weight and weight distribuition?? lighter cars are generelly better but does the stats of the manufacturer include the spare or not??\

p.s. what exactly do they mean when car mags used the term "slalom" and are higher number better or worse?

I dont know about the first quesiton, but a higher number is better in a slalom rating, its the speed at which the car exits a series of cones (zig zagging through them), its a good idea of how well a car is ballanced, as well as how well you can apply the power of the car while shifintg around a lot...
