I apologize for not having too much know-how, so please bear with me.

I'm following the excellent walkthrough on fixing the chain rattle on my '93 HB. But I'm having real difficulty with removing the distributor. More specifically, how do I unplug the sensor wire plug (I pulled on it pretty hard and it won't budge), and how do I pull off the distributor cap (those plastic clips look fragile)?

Specific and idiot-proof instructions will be much appreciated.

You have to squeeze the tab on the connector to release it. The clips holding the cap? There should be 2 phillips screws holding it on.

I dont want to dog you dude, But if you are having these kinda problems with the basics maybe you should enlist the help of a freind who has at least some mechanical knowledge. The only reason I say this is if you slip with the chain alignment you could have a problem with bending valves. Again not trying to be negative just tryin to help you out.

Good luck on the job and welcome to nico
