I came across this pic while surfing the web. its a little strange. Ive herd of the ka ignition system used on some of the older sr swaps in the US, but this is a JDM right hand drive s13.

Could be an upgraded DE. The non-turbos used distros.

i believe the Japanese 240sx had diff "trims", and the higher trim had the sr20deT with the turbo, and the lower ones can with the sr20de non turbos which used a distributor setup.

i used to have one and was about to turbo it but sold it instead lol.

and i think the diff (aside from distributor and coilpacks) between the sr20 DET and DET is that the DE has 9-9.5:1 compression compared to the DETs 8.5:1

and also you can get a rwd sr20DE motor and transmission for like 800$ (last time i checked)

dam, i thought all jdm s13s had a turbo's, and the only difference was that te early ones used the ca18 and others used sr's. i guess u learn somtin new every day

S14 N/A SRs are 10:1not 9.5:1

N/A SRs came in Silvia Q's in Japan
