I performed the mod (as per JWT) on the distributor to allow for an external trigger for the BTM. Now I'm switching to Enthalpy's ECU and won't need the timing retard.

The question is, am I going to have to get a new distributor or will the distributor run fine with the external trigger, but no BTM hooked up?

Thanks

Why dont you just leave the BTM in? You still could use the benefits of the multiple spark discharge, just turn the retard all the way down to "0" so that it doesnt mess with Enthalpy's tune.

It's just the BTM. No spark enchancement. Plus if I don't need it I'm probably going to sell it to make up the money on my Enthalpy tune.

What do you mean by R2 the distributor? Do you mean trash it and replace it with another? Should I tear it open again fix the changes I made, or just buy a new one.?
