I have a 91' 240SX (ka24de) that I can not timed properly. First I'm not sure what rpm range you should adjust the timing at, but I'm attempting it at about 1500rpm and the distributor is turned all the way and it is still about two inchs from the 20degree factory setting. Is there any markings on the distributor shaft to ensure proper alignment. Thanks.

Turn the crank with a socket and a long extension until the 20 degree mark is line up with the timing pin. After this take off the distributor cap and line it up with cylinder one, now your timing should be pretty much on. After that you can make adjustments with the adjustment screws.
