from the numbers you posted it is a 83 model year with 13 degrees total advance at 2600rpm...did you grab the matchbox with it and the pedestal? could be a pain mounting it without...

Where does the "matchbox" mount?  It seems that the wires were just attached to the coil, there is what appears to be an ignition modual in the dist.  Unless it mounts next to the coil, but I was under the impression that it mounted externally to the dist. housing.

Wouldn't an 83 be a 720 with a NAPS Z engine?  A Z22 with two spark plugs per cylinder?  Maybe check those numbers again against what ever gave you that year.

The engine in the junk yard truck was not a naps Z, it was on older (then mine) 1600, with the timing pointer on the lew rt, and the graduations on the fly wheel.

The numbers you posted are listed on a chart I found somewhere...can't remember where it was but I have it backed up here:

79 was the begining of the "matchbox" dizzy...I just figured if it was a 83 then it should have it but remembered afterwards that not all dizzy's came with the electronic modules...

sorry it took so long to reply....I was in Vegas for a son's graduation!
