Theres two different kinds. How do i find out if its a hitachi or a mitsubishi ignition?

I think It has the name embedded on the inside.
If you're looking at getting a new one,
just look for similarity between your current one.
Makes should not matter.

I just replaced mine today and ran into the same thing. My parts guy said the Mitsu was the more common one, so thats what I went with and it matched up.
