Anyone?

I just got my copy today from Gamefly.

It isn't really a fighting game, it's an Action RPG with a fighting game-like battle system, but it's still fun as a fan-fest.

How'd I miss this thread? I haven't bought it yet, but probably will based on my roommate's comments on it. It sounds like a thinking man's fighting game. I also like the idea of having real story arcs for every character, and the fact that it incorporates RPG character progress.

The strategy guides I've seen on aisle caps are FAT. That bodes well for gameplay runtime.

Well, the story in the first half is really weak, and in general, at least until the end, the story feels very contrived and lame.

Dissidia is SSB for Final Fantasy, only it feels more like an FF game and less like a true fighter (good thing, in this case).

The fighting engine is fun, and there are lots of fan items. It is incredibly long, and you can spend an enormous amount of time with it (and you'll want to).

Highly recommended.

Oh, and I scored a copy of Jeanne D'Arc today for FIVE BUCKS!!!! Yay me.

Is it any good? I remember looking forward to that a long while back, but I guess I forgot about it.

Dunno yet, just picked it up.

I probably won't dive into it for a little bit. I'm way too engrossed in Dissidia.

My lady played through it and said it was better than the newer Final Fantasy Tactic games, I don't play that stuff so I can't confirm nor deny that claim
