I recently had keyless entry installed "professionally" and now almost anytime i open my car after unlocking it, the alarm goes off. I have to open and close the door a few times to get it to stop. It's beyond annoying. I had already taken the car back to them because of a different problem after the install and i'm trying not to have my car dropped off again for the day.

What is the simplest way to deactivate the OEM alarm system? I didn't have a new one installed, just keyless entry. I didn't even know this car had an anti theft system before this started happening.

Any quick step-by-step or a link of a how to would be awesome. Thanks for any help.

Peel back passenger carpet where your feet would be, unscrew 2 10mm bolts holding the wooden panel in place, locate antitheft module above the ecu. Unplug and your done!
