she feels like she can do a lot more. so i was wondering if theres an easier way to cut the limiter than to unplug the gear sensors on the transmission. also to keep the speedo working.

not with out up grading your ecu. or putting in a chip, you could just put it on a switch and right before you hit fuel cut flip the switch. your running a sohc right. not much need to bypass fuel cut but its your car. i had a buddy with a 89 240 in the quarter he would spank alot of cars, and his was almost stock. i guess it all depends on the driver. if you run for a short ways then realy no need to bypass.

the fact that autos dont have a limiter is very strange. What are they expecting chicks and non-serious sports car people to drive them and be to scared to push it?

Naah, I just think that they were just looking for a way to reward people for ripping the auto out and doing a 5speed swap.

The auto ECU's do have a speed limiter to a certain extent. With the auto transmission the ECU says to cut out at a certain speed because it controls the shift points.. On the other hand putting an auto ecu in a man trans you control the shift points not the ecu so that eliminates the speed limiter.

plug and play, and from what devious said to me once, there should be a slight power gain around 2500-3000 when only at partial load, so its better for all around driving
