Does anyone know why my display screen doesn't fully light in the daylight I can see what it is showing me easily when light is shining on it but in the darkness I can't see a thing

If you're talking abot the trip odometer display you have one or both bulbs burned out behind it. Shining a flashlight into it's face is the trick to reading the display when the bulbs aren't working. Search trip odometer bulb to find the P/N and get them from the stealership for about $10/ea. It's a couple of hour job to pull the cluster to get to them.

You make no mention of what type of vehicle you have in your profile and this thread or some of the others you have started? Details please.

Depending on the year and model and display you are talking about there are many different things that may be causing this, from the dimmer setting being out of adjustment to a failing solar sensor.

What Steve really means is besides location, to help you effectively we need to know the vehicle model, model year and trim (e/g/ - 1994 Q45a) and so you don't need to post the same information everytime you post.

A complete profile helps everyone, especially the poster.
