Discovery channels street racing show

So they took two racers one guy who street races and a girl who track races. They gave them a mechanical team to build up their cars. The Apexi guys looked at her honda civic and said that her SOHC was slow as dirt and proceeded to swap it out with a DOHC. Now get this. The Apexi guys said it would make TWICE the HP. WTF!!! taking our car as an example where the DOHC makes only 15 more HP than the SOHC will someone please explain why they made this swap way more expensive than needed?

Maybe they meant when modded. Maybe the DOHC engines have more modding potential?

maby it was a DOHC h22 or somthing in that case then yes it would make about dubble the HP then the stock civic motor...

I guess this is what I was really saying. and these were the APEXI guys. I've heard their names all over the place are they THAT bad? Anyway, I guess my point was why not work with what they had? And she was REALLY stupid for posting all of her upgrades knowing she was going into a race.

She's getting a divorce from her husband for the love of a sport she's not even that good at.

PS. she didn't practice any launches before the race??

Yeah that girl flat out sucked at driving that car. The DSM broke a axel off the line, and still beat the civic by over a second.

ya j-spec, the DSM beat the civic cause the girl open her piehole & blabbed about it on the internet as well.... she woulda won if she kept it secret... but sweet "freebies" from the sponsors n tech teams
