i used to work for discount tire in indianapolis for about 9 months and it was quite a common happening. managers have the discretion whether to believe you and reimburse u or not. hes just dumb to realize that you come in every month and get tires....i hated changing tires when i knew i was wasting time doing a bs "warranty" tire change/balance when i knew the kid would go and do the same thing.

and what the hell you complainin about bein poor. dont use so much money on weed and tires and gas and get a job or another one if u have one already. then bish about something important other then ohh i have to lie again so i can go out and smoke new tires in my oh so sweet car.

+1, and don't pull the "but I'm a student and don't have time" card. I worked 2 jobs over 40 hours a week combined while I was in college, and I was a double major.

Two things which seem ridiculous to me:

1. How bold do you have to be to rip of a GOOD business like Discount Tire which always offer great customer service, unbeatable prices, etc.?2. How stupid do you have to be to brag about that on a popular online forum with over 100,000 members (the number because I bet you money, that someone working at DT/friend of someone is on here frequently).

You're just straight up dumb, maybe all this weed burned your remaining brain cells.

You would.

I used to wonder why you annoy me so....

Now I know - It's a combination of your complete lack of integrity AND your incessant insistence that you know more than you really do.

I'm gonna vote sterilization. All in favor?

I should not expect anything different from you.

Remember the thread about finding money/wallet on the ground and holding on to it? I disagreed with your fundamental lack of ethics then and am not particularly surprised by this statement from you either.

Sad to see the attitude of some youth.

"Racing scene"? "Poor college student"? These do not go together. I'd rather sell the car before doing the dishonest and unethical scams that seems to comes so easily to you.

Ah, yes. Another PMQ epic failure.

I'd put my kid in the hospital if he pulled a shenanigan like that... then again, he wouldn't.

I did the same.

I was a single mom working two jobs and going to school. I had a house to live in, food on the table, my daughter was well taken care of and we had a nice, dependable truck to drive. The only reason you don't have s*** is because you are f***ing lazy.

I didn't expect any less, a few weeks ago I had a conversation with him about Haiti. He didn't want us to help Haiti because their way of living is completely different from us, and thought we were donating money because they didn't live like us.

This thread man... LeroyBrown, your an Idiot. PoorManQ45, Your an idiot for supporting him. It sucks seeing fellow Nico friends do this kinda of thing. Is it really that hard paying out $70 or so per tire? If you cant afford to be honest then sell your car end of story.

I really hate to see Nico going in this directing right now. It seems like lately, there has been nothing but stupid ignorant threads. For example...this, the "would you cheat" or the one about legal weed. I can understand threads like...well...any of Nalas because its funny and were just goofing off. Imo, If your going to do something like steal, cheat, drugs, or anything else of that nature use your brain and keep it off Nico. If you feel like you need to express yourself in that manor then go post that s*** on Zilvia. Sorry for the rant but its late, Im tired, and I feel like this thread will never end.

I stand corrected! In some circumstances, it may be possible if you work at it properly, I suppose!

I guess I just remember my own college days in Boston all too clearly. No way in hell I could have afforded a car during that time, let alone car payments or insurance, etc., ... even though the cost of education was a lot lower than today! I walked everywhere and took the subway/bus for anywhere too long to walk.

Was I poor in college? Hell, yes! While a full-time college student, I worked 10 to 15, sometimes 20 hours, a week (for $1.90 /hour - minimum wage back then) as a stage hand, concert usher, waiter, cook, made beds ... whatever I could find in walking distance on campus! And I spent summers as a full-time copy-shop deliveryman and as a "building custodian" (fancy phrase for janitor ).

So, yes, I think that having a car when in college is a luxury, not a necessity!

Well, it was 35+ years ago. I am an old fart.

College education costs were lower then ... my budget for my first year of college in Sept of 1974 was $6,500, including tuition of $3,200! Actually, this was a high amount back then, since it was one of the best colleges in the country.

I think I should make a thread about being a poor technical school student trying to make a buck by selling drugs and getting caught while doing 100mph in a construction zone.

What kind of POS tires are you buying that cost $70/tire?!

Even with 15'' wheels decent tires cost more than that.

I've had consistently and apocalyptically bad luck with every set of General tires I've ever so much as looked at. I don't think I've ever had more consistently bad luck with any single brand of any product of any kind than with general tires. Sidewall bubbles, blowouts, tread separations, balance issues. Horrible tires. I've had tons of people tell me to try the general UHP Exclaim but I just can't make myself do it. I KNOW it's going to end badly. It has to. It must be a rule.

Jeez. I don't blame you then. My General was great for the 4 months I had them on my car before her death. The road noise and grip in dry and wet conditions were superb for it's worth. Your luck is like my luck with anything Elemental Designs.

I don't understand why threads like these last so long. It is just personal attack after personal attack. Young kids do stupid sh*t. At one point in time in every ones life they do or get involved in something they know isn't 100% right. It's when you get responsibilities do you straighten up, it's when people you love count on you for being there do you start reassessing your priorities.

Until then, young people who only count on them selves can afford to be more risky.

All this thread is personal attacks against Leroy and PMQ. I think they get the message. It won't change how they feel or what they do. I don't agree with it but I also have not experienced what they have. I have not lived in their shoes so I can't rip them apart for it but I can express my distaste for what a person is doing while trying to show him how some thing like this hurts us all, with out name-calling.

So a moral compass is only active when someone has others depending on them?

How do I say this? Oh, I know...

That's a load of crap.
