Try ebay. I just picked up a Dell 2.4GHz P4 M w/80GB, 1GB mem, 80GB HD + external 40GB, internal wireless, etc. for just over 400. This was much better than the HP 530 (tho with dual core) I was considering @$600 bux. It's for my mother-in-law so it didn't need to be 100% new, just a stout model that will last. Saving over $150 worked.

I also picked up a Dell C600 early this year for under $400 (P4 2.1GHz M, 1GB memory, etc).
