It is alot like throwing a frisbee, but a disc is smaller and probably spins faster. Most courses have metal chain nets that catch the disc (that loud "ching" is great sound to hear). It is alot like golf except that a disc doesn't go nearly as far as a golf ball, it is like a fairway's length. Most holes I am familiar with are par-3, 250~600 feet long; and the courses vary greatly just like in regular golf. If you want to learn more, there is alot of online support and youtube videos. Very fun and down to earth sport, and not that expensive to start off--you can get a new disc for 7 or 8 dollars. Development of skill is the most rewarding part.
