Disc Brakes

This may sounds like a dumb question, but I just had my discs replaced yesterday and today I washed my car and when I was done I noticed there was already like some rust build up or drips (like) rust. Does anyone know if this is common? Please let me know, thanks.

No question is a dumb question.

The light rust build up on the rotors is formed due to a reaction between the soap/water you are using and rotor. It is a common chemical reaction that occurs on most vehicles' rotors if not all. This is not a harmful event and after driving the vehicle for a couple of minutes, the rust will disappear.
