Hello all. Disaster struck when I was driving today. My clutch pedal went all the way to the floor. I managed to shift with the clutch until I reached a safe place to pull off. I got underneath the car and the slave cylinder was completely extended and the it wasn't attached to the withdrawal lever. I felt it and it felt like it was broken inside the transmission case. I had the car towed to the my trusted mechanic and he will look at it in the morning. Here is a picture from the FSM of the piece I think I broke, #10. What should I tell my mechanic and should I order anything to strenghten the transmission/clutch so this doesn't happen again? Thanks for all the help, I will keep you guys updated.

Wow, I'm surprised to see people breaking that thing. I think just keeping it properly lubed will prevent future breaks. I've never had mine break and I'm using a heavy duty pressure plate. What are you running?

i've heard of the pivot point for that breaking off in freak instances. either or, it's a cheap fix.

Would I be able to use the same part from the KA transmission?

I doubt that the actual lever broke. I agree that it is most likely the clutch pivot point that broke and thats probably why the thing is all loose. Nismo does sell a stronger replacement pivot for use with aftermarket clutches. Also, I think the pivot from the KA transmission can just be screwed off and put onto the SR. I havent tried it so I dunno, I have a spare SR and KA transmission lying around so Ill see if I can do that.
