What are the main disadvantages to the rocker-arms on the SR20DET? I am debating between a CA and a SR, but cost will probably prohibit me from getting a SR, unless it proves to all-around better.

In the same respect, I have heard rocker-arms have to be replaced at 60k miles, is that true?

Also does anyone have any pictures of the head of a SR and why would nissan would have used rocker-arms in the first place? to save money?

The major disadvantage is they burst off under stress. You're ok for longer than 60k miles on them, but if you are building for high horsepower applications you shouldn't go above 350 to the ground on the stock ones.

You can get rocker retainers.
