this is from the FAQs....

Quote »"After reading the first solution I looked into finding a simpler solution. Best of all, everything can be done at the computer. My car is a 89 with a 96 ka24de, but all the wiring and computer is 92. On my computer, there is a yellow wire with green stripe, 8th one over from right on harness. This is the vehicle speed sensor signal. Cut that wire. That is it. If you have a California car I think it will trigger a code, but for the rest of us, it is an easy trick. Your speedometer will still work because the signal comes from the transmission, goes to the gauges, THEN feeds the computer. I had to find a solution because my car comes very close to the speed limiter at the end of the 1/4. If anyone can beat the revlimiter let me know. I'm working on it."[/quote]seems too good to be true. has anyone tried it, and does it really work? also, my car is a 90 so will this work on my car? thanks.

I don't know about this working. Is there a loss of cruise control?

Why dont you find the wire in question. Cut it to were it can be redone . Test drive your car to see if it worked. If it did not work, reconnectthe wire.

Well I have a 93 240sx and a 91... I tried it on the 91 and nothing happens... no codes and speed still cuts off at 120 (approx). Never tired it on my 93.

the limiter is def. going to be an issue with me.. I am sick of seeing my friends be able to pull away from me (Last 2 years = me seeing taillights fade in distance). So after stablilzeing the car i want to see it do at least 140.. And I doubt the limiter will let me do that (1991 240sx SE)

I HAVE A 92 240 SX SE AND I DID CUT THE WIRE AT THE COMPUTER AND IT WORKS IT ELIMINATES THE REV LIMITER FOR THE 4TH GEAR AND FITH GEAR, THE TRICK IS FOR IT TO WORK YOU NEED TO GET UNDER YOUR CAR AND DISCONECT ALL OF YOUR SENSORS IN YOUR transmission BECARFULL YOU DO NOT DISCONECT YOUR REVERSE LITE SENSOR. ANOTHER TRICK YOU NEED TO PUT A SWITCH IN BETWEEN THE WIRE YOU CUT BECAUSE ONCE YOU CUT THE WIRE YOUR CAR LOOSE IDLE WHEN IN LOW RPM SO ANY TIME I WANT TO RUN TOP END I TURN OFF MY SWITCH, I HAVE A DIGITAL SPEEDOMETER SO IT ONLY MEASURES MY SPEED UNTIL 125MPH, BUT IT STILL PULLING HARD I HAD THE CAR TO 6000RPM THATS ABOUT 135MPH...GOOD LUCK!!
