I have the 2010 Nissan Altima Coupe with the tech package which includes bluetooth A2DP audio in the stereo system. The issue has been that when the bluetooth syncs between my Android smart phone and the car, the car seems to try and autoplay whatever music it can stored on the phone. I have counteracted this by installing a macro program on my phone called Tasker that recognizes when the bluetooth sync happens and tries to kill all music player applications active. This seems to work well for killing some applications, but some music applications seem not to be stopped as easily because they require confirmations on program exit. Anyway, what winds up happening is my Nissan will launch any number of different media players and start playing whatever music it can find. Further it seems like the "bluetooth" audio source on the car sometimes only becomes available when some audio is being played.... almost like the car is listening for audio and if it hears nothing it doesn't think there is a "bluetooth" source.

Has anyone found any way to disable this auto play function? I see nothing in the manuals. Seems like most Android users have tried to use Tasker as a workaround, as I mention, but it seems clunky. I assume the same issue would exist for other Nissans with the same feature.
