Hi this may be a dumb question, if I disable the abs will I still be able to stop the car? I ask this question because the abs in my 1990 z n/a always seem to engage when I hit the brake and the ABS light comes on. Its not bad but it shakes the car a little bit when I stop. I dant care to much about abs I know how to not lock the brakes in a panic stop. all feedback appreciated.

That means one of your ABS wheel sensors is bad. It's providing a false indication that you are skidding when you aren't.

Yes, you will still be able to brake.
