Is it possible to disable the auto up and down feature when you open and close the doors. Its an annoyance to me, I would rather leave them a smidge down all the time to clear the sils and roll em up if i get on the highway or if it rains.

Any ideas?

Maybe there is a relay fuse to remove.

wow really... buy a different car...

I ask a serious question and I get a **** answer like this? Great solution, thank you, I will consider that.

I know the feature is there for a reason, I dont like or need the feature everytime I get in and out of my car. And I dont want to replace the motors when they go bad. I'm trying to prevent that.

So I'll ask it again. Is there a way to disable the auto up and down feature?

i dont know of a way , and if you did disable it if it was left up the window might clip that lip and be pushed out, and if it was left down the car will probably leak water in so id say leave it alone. not worth the hassle

there must be a sensor that tells the car the windows are still down so it does its magic. find the sensor, kill it and you're home.

Just wondering why you are wanting to disable that feature? That is one thing that I like about the Z.

It seems like a pretty minor annoyance and it does serve a purpose. You could experiment with disabling the open/close switch that controls this function.
