OUCH! I pay less than $5 for each WIX air filter!telcoman wrote: I pay $13.60 each at the dealer
But how many of those will you buy in the lifetime of the car, much less if you buy another Nissan/Infiniti that you can transfer over the K&N filters to. In the long run K&N is usually cheaper.telcoman wrote:-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------g37man wrote:go with a K&N filter and save money!

Ouch! I'm too cheap to pay K&N prices
I pay $13.60 each at the dealer and generally buy 2 at a time with Nissan oil filters @$6.62 each
Got my OEM filters here for $19 ea. Ordered a few other things so shipping was free and it arrived the next day after lunch.zozoka1212 wrote:I went with Fram. It is cheaper then K&N and easy to clean it. Just did it last weekend. I clean it every 3k with airblast and wash and dry every 6k.
Plus here in Canada the airfilter changes cost around $90-100 at the dealer. Heck even the filter is like 30 or so plus you need 2. I ordered a set online 2 years ago and happy since. I think the Fram filters were costing the same as the filter from the dealer here. Go figure.
Mod money is going towards my bridge to nowherejoe603 wrote:Telco, get an intake!!! The R2C's come with dry-element filters that can be washed and reused. Plus, you get better gas mileage...and they sound great!

Don't forget to post pics of your mods when there all finished; before:telcoman wrote:Mod money is going towards my bridge to nowherejoe603 wrote:Telco, get an intake!!! The R2C's come with dry-element filters that can be washed and reused. Plus, you get better gas mileage...and they sound great!
My temporary bridge to nowhere keeps falling out![]()
4 holes have already been drilled into my upper jaw for the four post implants.
When both sides are completed next year the whole process is the price of a new G
Don't ever get old because it sucks not having teeth![]()

Follow Rich's advice in addition to changing those filtersPoyzinous wrote:how delightfully disturbing, thank you howard.

A little dirt?epmeyer50 wrote:Actually (the silliness of this thread notwithstanding), there is nothing in the original pictures to indicate that filter needs to be changed. Hold it up to the light - if it shines through its fine. Just because there is a little dirt and discoloration on the filter does not mean it is used up.
The price of an air filter is cheap compared to the price of a MAF and the aggrevation of dealing with it.epmeyer50 wrote:Actually (the silliness of this thread notwithstanding), there is nothing in the original pictures to indicate that filter needs to be changed. If you are not seeing a periodondist a few times per year you should. What can happen is even though you had root canal on teeth supporting a bridge or crowns the roots can split over time becoming impacted with pain from the top of your head to the bottom of your jaw. The crowns or bridge has to be removed and destroyed in the process in order to pull the offending tooth.audtatious wrote:Stay away from the '07+ models as you have to deal with two filters (seems more costly).
As far as the teeth...eeeek. I've had 3 root canals and 5-6 crowns so far (the last 8 years) and wish I could step back 20 years and take care of my teeth better.

My dentist did my canals and I still have all my teeth (except wisdom teeth) so no bridge or implant work at this point. I see her every 6 months. I went years without seeing a dentist as I went through two who were sadists and it was during that time I did most of my damage. I like women dentists now as they are more gentle and have smaller hands (for working in my mouth)telcoman wrote:If you are not seeing a periodondist a few times per year you should. Then an implant is required and enough of them can run run up the price of a new G![]()
Those four implants will be getting crowns soon and three more iimplants are required on the left side next year.
Bottom line is take good care of your teeth like you take good care of your G.
Its kind of like not changing a cheap air filter resulting in the replacement of the MAF sensor
