All over the world, Nissan products are involved in road racing, track days, time attack and autocross.

I have auto-x before. Had a 97 Jetta gt 5 spd. Now i have a 2005 Nissan Sentra SE-R auto. Dont really want to race it as I wore down my jetta with daily driving and auto-x driving. What is a dirt cheap car to auto-x, and can still compete. Did fairly well with a basically bone stock jetta. It had short ram intake, exhaust and clutch upgrade (after stock went out).

we've had a couple of locats convert to shifter carts, a somplete competetive car can be had for about $4k and a new set of tires only cost about $200, CM's are great purpose built cars and can be had for under $10k, if you want something more streetable, get a miata an early run CS, also n/a MR2's seem to dominate ES, you could get a first gen SE-R and mod it to compete in STS they tend to do pretty well there

Come on, suck it up and use the SE-R! They're great for auto-x.

Miata, done & done.

Cars don't really wear all that bad from autox... you just have to keep up w/ maintenance.

The Sentra will last, just won't be competitive at all. I believe you run against Mini's - those just straight up own G-Stock.
