Dire need of seatbelt extender for 93 Infinity J30tatbelt insertor

Howdy guys.I've been away from the www since illness struck, which relates to my dire need of a 'seatbelt extender' for an Infinity J30t, 4 dour coupe.Should I try after-market, or is this really a 'dealer item?"Please, I need your help, as just like most of you: I need it NOW, I'd like to pay under dealer's saleing price, even if it includes S & H.If you haven't heard of them: they are extenders that snap into the really low actual seatbelt snap-buckle by about 6 to 7 inches, making it easier to attach the seatbelt from the column. Right?Can anyone point me in the right direction?Drive on! Peace,Jason

I believe this is a free item. If the dealer wants to "sell" it to you, I would contact Infiniti customer service.

DD:Thanks, although I did not buy my J30t new. I only recently bought it last year.How could a dealer offer it for free, if not as a 'call back' or a 'safety issue?'Please advise.Thanks.Jasonsos

It doesn't matter if you bought it used or new at an Infiniti dealer or not, its a safety issue. I saw a segmnet on Dateline NBC last year where in most states, since it is a safety issue, manufacturers are mandated to provide seatbelt extenders should one be required free in legal speak it is part of the safety equipment in the car. Check with your D.O.T.

Yes, this is a Federal Safety item, and must be supplied by the manufacturer. I doubt the Infiniti buckles are different from Nissan (although....). If there is any charge (there shouldn't be) it will be nominal.
