Hey,This weekend at a drift event my dipstick blew out about an inch and oil sprayed everywhere. I assume extemely high oil pressure caused this, but what might cause my pressure to go that high? It happened to me twice in a row and then I quit drifting. Coincidentally it happened to the only other guy there running a ca18det...Crazy! I was able to drive it 100 miles back home with no problems whatsoever...Let me know what you think.

do you have a good clear line back to the intake from the valve cover, and is your PCV valve new?

Yes PCV valve(make sure it's in the right direction) and/or crankcase breather/seperator: make sure they are functional and not clogged.

Your problem is not oil pressure. It is as they said to much pressure in the crank case. If you have a restricted flow in positive crankcase ventalation [PCV] you will have an issue with excessive pressure in there. Another posibility is blow by. If your combustion chamber is becoming worn ,at high revs, the blowby could climb drastically causing the same problem. This can be chacked by doing a cyl leak down test. anything over 10% leak down is not good.
