Dimmer failing

Hello from a newbie!

I have a 93 J30 and the dimmer is giving me trouble (no dash lights). I have had it out and cleaned it, which lasted a couple of years. Now I can not get it to keep working for longer than an hour or two.

Are there any known solder joints or mechanical contacts, etc that I should focus on?

Clean out the contacts again. If it doesn't work try replacing the dimmer switch. I think they pop out with some effort.

Already tried the clean out - they come out very easilly, only don't try to "pop out" as you suggest, there are three good size screws holding the assy onto the bezel from the inside.

I ordered a new part today.
