Hi guys. I'm swapping (or rather installing) a CA18DET in a 180sx. I was told the engine mounts from a ka24e fitted, so I tried them and well, they do seem to work. What I didn't think of was of the brackets. Those don't work lol.

I'm gonna have them custom made cause they can't be found (and even if they could, they would probably be hella expensive). It seems as one of the two fits thus. The left one [this, looking at the engine from the transmission] seems to bolt right up to the ca (I don't know if it'll line with the engine mount mounting spot thus ), but the right one has 4 holes and the ca has only 3, and they're too far apart.

If somebody could give me some decent dimensions so I can have them made, I'd appreciate it. I know it's a lot to ask, but this is pretty much the only thing holding me from putting the engine in and it's rally boghtering me.

Thanks !

I have extras, but they are expensive because they are rare and most people need them and are not willing to part with them. If you're willing to pay, I'll sell you a set for your CA.

Depends what you mean by willing to pay lol.

I'd obviously prefer to go the custom made route as this is quite certainly cheaper than what you'll ask me, but if I'm really badly stuck up, I might consider.

Anyone can save my life and wallet and measure their brackets on their spare engines lol ?

Hi all !

Maybe this will not help you but i can tell you to not make it custom. I've just broken the under intake bracket;the one between motor mount and engine. Yep those **** happen- drag-drift and crappy road out there.

I just ordered BRAND NEW nissan one from my special part guy and 2 week 1/2 and 55$ later i got it direct from japan. It'S 65$ by plane from japan but i got a discount from my guy on this one

We have replace the bracket and the surprise we get is that the new one was a lot Beefy than the original. it weighted a .5 to 1 pound more than original unit.

I don't know if i can do anything for you but i can have ALMOST any oem ca18det part from nissan. Most of the time the part are from Japan and take 1 week to 3 week (boat or plane)I Know i'm im Quebec but if i can do something for you drop me a line!

ps: We took 1hour 1/2 to change the bracket. And this go faster with oil filter removed. Ciao !
