New battery---recharge externally. With a full charged battery installed:
Take battery reading all off---should be 12.5 at least
Take reading across battery at time of start---at least 10 V
Take reading at cold idle about 1200-1500 RPM---at least 13.xx v
Take reading at warm idle at 750 RPM---at least 13 V
Take reading at 2500-3000 RPM---maximum no more than 15 V

Get back with your readings.

The dim lights indicate a greater voltage difference between alternator and battery. Alternator may have worn brushes, bad battery will effect field with alternator.

The battery must be charged and verified good with a hydrometer not just voltage because you could have the voltage but no current.

My boyfriend checked it and everyone read ok. I think it's idling to low that's y the amp battery light is on and a/t oil light is dim. What would make in idle lower. My brother change air filter and ever since then it's been like this. Could air filter change idling. The old air filter wasn't bad just one day it was idling high and low and keep doing it so he took airfilter out and it worked fine. Like it wasn't getting enough air so I replaced it now it's to low and making the battery and a t oil light go on in ilde but when I hit gas it's off.
