Looks like I'm the voice if dissent here. I'd go for the HLSD over an exhaust - power is nothing without control.

In essence, its rather having more control than "voice" for the car.

I'm going for a more different approach, a high powered Z33 which looks like a Base model which just rolled off the assembly line, no rims, no spoilers, no lips no nothing..if anything just upgraded brakes, tires, and suspension.

As far as anything cosmetical I only have smoked signals, an s2000 antennae, jdm clear sidemarkers, and fairy emblem.

Don't forget the new breed of ricer sleepers, these guys make there cars look like a joke on purpose by adding the stickers, neons, spoilers, horrible rims, adhesive accents and all that jazz. But under the bonnet lurks unlike anything the waring eye would ever suspect.

Honestly it scares the living **** outta me.

I guess its part humous seeing that for domestic mustangs and goats, ricers are the butt of every joke...to only find out that they just got completely annihilated by some ricer that has the banner "powered by gasoline" across the windshield .

I like your thiking. I plan to SC or TT (undecided) in the future and my plan is to paint the visibly side of the intercooler black so it isn't easily seen. Anyway, i believe tanabe makes a stock looking exhaust (Medalin GX or something). Looks stock and is not loud but has good performance. I would go LSD in this comparison, and maybe rethink the exhaust for a stock look. I would change the wheels, keeping the stock look or not IMO...

BINGO. anodizing the fmic black is exactly what I'll do, Ill even still leave the plastic Grill on.

As for exhaust, I just might get a new Y pipe since the stock one is super super restrictive. And the stock calsonic muffler actually doubles as a diffuser so i might leave that alone (although it is rather heavy)

And rims, I decided either leaving the Base ones on, or if i can find used 19'' G35 rims and swapping the center cap from Infiniti to Nissan.

I would go with the Quaife LSD, but if you decided to go with the exhaust, browse jscspeed.com. They are selling the same HKS exhaust for $1418.00. This website is very competitive in terms of price. I have purchased a few parts from this company in the past when I owned a 06 WRX. Great customer service.

I found a great alternative to the HKS exhaust.

http://hopupracing.com/fuyni35ing35.html

and that's all i need, I must leave the car to appear looking completely stock on the outside, is there anything else I should know about Y-pipes?

Do you currently have an open diff or a VLSD? If yo've got an open diff you're better off with the Quaife since it uses the stock open diff output shafts. The ATS/Carbonetics is the opposite, it uses the stock output shafts from the VLSD.

Ask yourself about maintenance too, ATS recommends changing your diff fluid something on the order of every 1900 miles or so, the Quaife will be less of a headache if you aren't willing to change your diff fluid all the time.

And if you're asking about how to adjust backlash you need to take it to a shop and have them do it. Trust me.

Yeah I have a Mega Base model Z...open diff is icky, thank you for that input, i assumed that all LSD's would match all the output shafts but I guess I'm mistaken. I think the quaife is all systems go. Not to mention I'm too much of a bum to change the diffs fluid that often
