I have an 07 Nissan Versa, which is my very first car. Decent guy but I was really disappointed that the base model didn't come with an auxilary outlet *there are other reasons as well but that was one of the issues*. I'm waiting until I'm 25 (next year) to trade my car in for insurance reasons (LOL) and was looking at a lot of different cars, and those two really stuck in my head. I actually drove an 09 Altima sedan and it was GREAT. I did not want to give it back after sitting in it LOL. I haven't test driven the coupe yet but I assume it's probably the same driving experience. The Accord Coupe is a great looking car as well and I see it being compared to the Altima Coupe in a lot of reviews. The only thing that stops me from liking it completely is that button-ridden console area. If you guys wouldn't mind, could you do a list (short or long, doesn't matter) of what you guys like most about your car and what you don't like? Trying to do a comparison of complaints (read like hundreds of user reviews of both cars) and likes

Pro - Push button start (yes!!!)Pro - CVT if you don't wanna stick (it's awesome)Pro - Altima is not a grandma coupe (like a T-bird, ok that's not objective, sorry) Pro - Feels way more sporty when you drive the Altima, Suspension is a bit tighter, and acceleration feels more fun. That's just my impression after driving both.Pro- I think a wider selection of aftermarket parts.

Con - None I can think of....sorry. I guess that makes this a Pro.

Pros-Way sexier rear end than the Accord IMOI liked the dash a lot better in the Altima; it felt sportier all around inside than the AccordKeyless entry & Push button startGood torque; I have the 2.5, but I really never feel left behind from a stop (mostly city driving here)Aux outlet is indeed a convenient feature, hahaBack seats are fine to sit in

Only less than perfect thing about my car IMO is that the visibility isn't awesome out the rear quarter panel but I can still see fine, I just have to tilt my head a certain way (but it is second nature by now) and that I got the CVT instead of mastering my stick shift skills Oh, and the paint seems to chip easily. I read somewhere around here awhile ago that it's because they made their paint more eco friendly or something and it lost some durability in the process

Overall though, I LOVE the Altima Coupe and everytime I see an Accord Coupe I am so glad I have mine... mmm that a**!

I can't be very objective because I would never ever consider a Honda...I don't know what it is...but I would never buy a Honda.

I think about it like this...

Honda's last FOREVER, which is an awesome plus side...but, you owned one car for 2 years and are moving on...will you move on from the Coupe in 3-4 years? If so, it doesn't matter you can put 300k on a Honda compared to 200k on a Nissan...does it?

Resale of a Nissan at the 3-4 year mark is going to be better then a Honda...just based on the little plus options you get. The push botton start and keyless entry add a Luxiory feel to a cheaper car...and you find a market of people that want the luxiory car without the price tag....

In performance...the Accord just looks to me like a Sedan cut down to 2 doors and that is how I would imagine it drives, where the Altima looks like a Sports Car pumped up (4 seats vs. 2 in the Z's)...so that is what it does for me...

The next car I buy probably won't end so quickly as the Versa. The next car is the one I plan on keeping for a long time.

Back seats are a little troublesome, but hey you are getting a coupe.

Auxiliary input is nice, but it's placed funny, I have the cable running behind and under the dash just so it's not visible (not completely but looks a lot better)

Crash tests are really well, even user accounts of crashes they get out of the car fine.

Push button, keyless entry

Not too many people have them

...Ya sorry not too many cons that I can think of, the engine bay is pretty tight that's about itgood luck

There's lots of pros out there but one con that a lot of people have are the minor random rattles in the sunroof and front windshield area. I have that when driving over bumps, no idea what causes it yet.

Yeah I read that in a lot of user reviews. I don't plan on getting the sunroof but the windshield problem I read more than once. But I also read in the Accord review that they have a lot of dash rattling.

People also complained the CVT was too loud but I didn't hear it or pay attention to it while driving the sedan

I got to test drive an Accord Coupe recently because I was thinking of trading my current car in, and I have to say that I'm not very happy with either.

Pros:push button startkeyless entryCVT (no shift shock)exterior looks nicercenter console is less "busy" than the Accordstock navigation is better/easier to useauto-locking doors (09 only)

Cons:CVT (boring ride, feels sluggish unless you throw it into manual mode)cheap "plastic-y" interior; feels smaller than the Accordhands-free feature doesn't have as many features as the Accordtiny trunk spaceextremely LOUD ABS self-checkrattlesquality of service at dealerships

Since you already own a Versa, I'm guessing that you already know how well your local dealerships treat their customers, so that's not as big of an issue. In my area, most of the Nissan/Infiniti dealerships pale in comparison when it comes to customer service and repair when compared to Honda. If I had known before I had purchased my vehicle, I probably would've bought an Accord instead.

Alright here's my best reply that I can muster for this -

The Accord has some sharp lines. My buddy bought an 08 Accord Coupe V6 around the same time I bought my AC 3.5.

As far as storage - the Accord wins. It has a MASSIVE trunk compared to the Altima, and has a bit more accessibility to the back seats. You are buying a coupe and that may not matter much, but just putting that out there.

Not sure which trim you're looking at getting with the Altima, but either way, as far as options go, the Altima is a much better bang for the buck.

My Pros: Power. Power. Power. Push button start. Maintenance interval settings on the trip computer for oil/filter changes, tire rotations, etc.

Cons: I would like a bit less sidewall on my tires (they fixed that on the 09 models, mine is an 08) for handling. Would like a limited slip diff - not sure if the Accord offers that or not. Rear visibility is a bit cumbersome. Much larger blindspots to work around compared to vehicles I've driven before, but I've only owned sedans up to this point.

Either way, keep in mind you're looking at FF coupes so you can't expect either one to perform like an s2000 or 350z, but you're looking at two awesome cars that are excellent daily drivers. Good luck! You really can't lose out with either purchase - both are quality vehicles.

My girlfriend said the accord coupe is "like a hot girl with a flat a*s". No match for our curvaceous rears.

That's EXACTLY what happened to me LOL. The more I saw them things, I was like Okay it looks good out the left eye LOL

@SBC, wow@your review of their customer service. I'm sure there are some bad dealerships, but fortunately my dealership has good customer service (my guy replaced two of my hubcaps for free). They were pretty friendly. They just jacked up my APR

@Xenon, not really looking for like a really fast car and since the only thing I carry around that's big is groceries and school supplies. About it. I care about speed but it doesn't have to be outrageously fast. I guess I should have put in my first post: looking for a stylish car (started looking at coupes when I came to that) that's pretty decent on gas and has some great feats. And one that has a trunk release button @this Versa not having that lol. I am really leaning towards the Nissan because I am familiar with the sedan version. That push start is lovely (just worried about maintenance on it) and the radio and features are nice. I need to test drive the Accord to get an idea in my head but I was trying to see if you guys had any complaints.

Come on guys!!!!! Is this a joke. The accord coupe is a freaken tank. I doubt there are any pros to it. Its heavy, huge, and chunky. I would never consider buying one of these.

***joking matter**Tbird FTW sir :-) - i would honestly drive that before the altima coupe...but my car is a different story - would i drive a stock tbird....no way

But anyway - back to the subject at hand:

/***joking matter**

I was in the same market with the gf between the altima coupe and accord coupe.

I test drove both, as a driver the altima just shows you the power right away (i love that coming for a v8 rwd car owner)

The accord felt real strong - if you had your foot into it.

I DID NOT like the feeling in an accord coupe. It felt wierd for me...maybe it was the whole button thing. There is like 40 of them in that small section.

Test drive both - the accord gets a scary price sticker when you start adding things.

Also I was biased with a great dealership experience.

After seeing it on the road so many times I grew to like it lol

And yeah the prices for the Accord is kind of ridiculous. But Nissan got some crazy packages as well lol

What I hate the most in any honda is the warning sound when you exceed 120km/h ... if you are doing alot of highway driving, it will really piss you off x.x this is one of the main reasons why I did not consider buying accord coupe ...

I had my eye on the Accord Coupe at first..but when i went to the dealership ready to purchase it..it wasn't released yet so i saw the A/C and I'm very very VERY glad i went with this choice..I see about 3-4 Accord Coupes a day and rarely see A/Cs around here and I always get compliments

I wanted the Honda Accord coupe before my Altima Coupe until I realized the following:

It's too bigIt has the same interior as the old Acura TL (old... We're American.. we need NEW or we feel cheap)The back bumper is too huge

I've gotten hit in the rear twice and needed two bumper replacements... I just imagine if I had the Accord Coupe... I think I would cry if I had to replace that massive trunk and bumper. (The first time I was rear ended the trunk frame needed to be replaced.) I must say the Accord does have a better Sedan than a Coupe. The Accord coupe looks unfinished and feels as if you're driving an old American firebird (HEAVVVVY!)

As for large bumpers... don't even get me started on the new Robotic looking Acura TL Honda is making bad choices with their bodystyles lately IMO atleast.

I looked at the Nissan. I looked at the Honda. I went running back to the Nissan dealer! The only plus to the Honda that I can see is that it carries more groceries.
