Hi NICO. Does anyone know if the clock/climate controls from the 99 Qs are able to fit & connect properly into my 97? I loved the clock that was in my first Q, a 91 but was dissapointed that they went to digital in the 97. The digital clock just doesn't "do it" for me.

How do you guys feel about it? Digi or Analog?

If it turns out that the analog can be put into the 97 models, does anyone know of any parting out 99s? Or another resource.

You can get the 99+ center to fit fine, but instead of matching wood, it will be black plastic on your center console. IMO, the all wood 97-98 center looks better, and I care less about the clock. Every car and it's brother has an analog clock now & the digital is easier to read at an instant glance.

Aww that sucks. So the 99's have wood trim everywhere BUT the clock/climate surround?

The wood looks old and outdated to me in the 97-98's it's just to much IMO. The 99 didnt go overboard with all the wood.

I respectfully disagre, I think it looks kinda miss-matched to me. And helps me justify mine being nicer looking

On the subject of wood. Did the '94 Q45a come with wood b/c if it didnt someone did a crap job of installing it on mine. And also do they make wood kits I can replace mine with?

Looking at it, You are absolutly right with that color interior. Black guts help the non wood look.

I would prefer more wood inside a tan leather car.

That's a good point. While shopping for my car, I tested a couple 99's and they both had the dark interior and I didn't even think about it.

Pork: I believe Jason B has wood dash kit's for it, burtmanindustries.com or something like that, do a quick search you should find it.

you got real wood on the shifter closeout/window switch area and the ashtray at the bottom of centre stack. (regrettably) the door panel trim looks like cheesy plastik wood. if someone corrects me that that is real wood, then all i can say is 'pathetic'.that's it.burtmann and a few others sell aftermarket wood kits.

from what i understand, jason B has the best kits. wood looks good in certain applications, but just slapping wood in a car to make it look "more expensive" is a joke
