I have the basic speedometer but what to upgrade it or add a supplemental digital display. Any upgrade or third party suggestions? I am not looking for a high performance tach-style gauge, just a simple digital display

About the only option I know of is the ScanGauge II. It plugs right into the diagnostic port and will give you more info than you could possibly use:

BTW, the Rogue has no traditional speedometer cable or even a pulsed electric speed signal to speak of. Vehicle speed is read from the wheel sensors attached to the ABS computer and is transmitted digitally to the gauges, engine computer and CVT computer. Because of this, there is no way to hook up a traditional speedometer. ie Autometer.

Thanks for the solution. A bit more expensive that I expected but it does the job. PS. Is that a canoe on your roof or a fancy new racing fin? ( lol)

Pretty much any auto GPS includes a digital speedometer display that determines your speed using GPS coordinates. The fancier ones will even show you the local speed limit.

Some of the small handheld GPS units designed for hiking will display speed to a tenth of a mile and give you lots of other neat info like altitude.

The Scanguage is a great little tool. I have one. It has been plugged into my S for over a year. I have had a few passangers who find the info very interesting. We took a group drive down to the Oregon Caves and Cali Redwoods several weeks ago. My passanger was entertained by looking at the intake temp, mpg and engine rpm. My S already has a digital speedo, but it is interesting to see the exact engine rpm.
