digital speedometer problem!!

Im new on this site and a relatively new 240 owner. I own a 93 Nissan 240sx se coupe and my digital speedometer doesn't work. My car is completely stock besides the exhaust and coilovers. When i turn on the car the speedometer will also turn on, but a few seconds later it'll turn off. Anyone have any idea whats wrong?? If anyone has any ideas or suggestions it'ld be cool. Thanks!

heat causes the sodering for the hud display in the dash to break. Really is an easy fix if you know how to solder and can get the dash off.

Do you need to remove the dash or pull out the gauge cluster? What's the easiest way to access the components? I can handle soldering, just trying to figure out how to get out the boards.

Any help is appreciated.
