Digital Speedometer Interchangability

Anyone know if a 1990 Digital Speedo is usable in a 1993 SE ? I don't really care about the rest of the cluster, just the two plugs in the back of the speedo. Thanks.

does anyone know? because i think i have an 89 speedo and the rpms and speedo dont work at all but the rest works

i wouldent see why not, i have a 92 dohc digital speedo in my 90 body so i would have to say it would work the other way arround. you do however need to keep the wire harness that goes with the digi dash with it as the analog harness wont work with a digi dash. hope that makes sense.

All you need is the sub harness from the digital cluster. I have a digital cluster in my 91 Hatch. But i swapped out the tach from my analog cluster with a little mod. Its not hard

Yes, it will work just fine. Just make sure you have the digital cluster subharness (from cluster -> main dash harness).

The only thing you'd want to move over is your DOHC tach - if you are using the analog one, you will have to trim the gauge display a bit.
