Digital Speedo problem...

Did a search and I got almost all questions anwsered. I was curious if both the HUD and In-dash Digi Speedo tied in together.

In other words, if the indash digi speedo were to go out. Will the HUD do the same?

Also any good places where I may find the Digi Speedo's. Or maybe an easier alternative?

I believe they are connected like that - the hud wire goes directly into the digital speedo module.
