Digital speedo failure

alright, this is a thread that has been done numerous times (ive searched) but i havent gotten the answers i was looking for. my 91 240 SE has the digital speedometer and the HUD that goes with it. i have had the usual warm up problem where the cluster lights dont turn on till you warm up the car, but the other day unexpectedly the speedometer lights failed to turn on. everythign else worked as normal, tach, trip odometer and regular odometer. dont ask why, i dont understand. it was workign earlier in the day. i suspect a replacement is in order. anyone have a clue as to what these replacement parts cost, and/or where to get them from? thanks guys
