Im planning on buying a digital gauge cluster with harnesss and HUD. I have a SR20DET black top and was wondering what it takes to make it work? Also if its easy to get it to work. And ive seen people on ebay that made "templetes" for cutting the dash for the HUD module. Could anyone here do that for me??? and also where can i be the tint film for the HUD?

The wiring is the same for the digital cluster vs. the analog. It should just plug in if the new cluster has its harness. I have the digital cluster in my car and it worked with the SR20, just make sure the speed sensor is plugged into the transmission. Also, a cluster from an 89-90, the tach won't work with an SR, or dohc KA

If you have an OEM Silvia custer, why not just use that, your speed will be in KPH, but that shouldn't be that big a deal. As far as swapping tachs, I think that the tach in the analog cluster is bigger than the digital, but don't quote me on that.

When I bought my car, the speedo/hud only worked about half the time, and therefore the odometer only worked half the time. They are pretty cool, especially since the car is 18 years old. The problem with them are the solder points in speedo itself crack, causing malfunction. I attempted to resolder all the cracked solder joints in mine, but to no avail. I just went ahead and ordered a new speedo unit through Nissan to the tune of around $350! Now the speedo works perfectly, but the odometer crapped out. Since the car isn't a daily driver, it doesn't really matter.
